Summary

Riyalati runs on your phone and your messages and transactions stay there. We collect no personal data and never sell or share any information. The only exception is the optional “Smart categorisation” feature: if you turn it on, the app sends merchant names only to iLatif's server to categorise them.

What the app accesses and why

• SMS (READ_SMS, RECEIVE_SMS): only after your explicit consent, the app reads messages from banks and payment wallets to extract the amount, type, merchant and date of each transaction and compute your budget and daily spending limit. On activation it reads the last 90 days once, then new messages as they arrive.
• Non-bank messages, one-time passwords and promotions are ignored and not stored.
• Notifications: local alerts on your device (near/over the daily limit, evening summary).
• Biometrics: optional app lock handled by the operating system; the app never sees or stores biometric data.

Storage

Transactions, settings and goals are stored in an on-device database only. Nothing is uploaded or transmitted, except merchant names if you enable Smart categorisation (see below). No ads, trackers or analytics. Exports (PDF, CSV, backup) are created on your device and shared only where you choose.

Smart categorisation (optional, off by default)

If you turn it on in Settings → Smart categorisation after reading the in-app notice, and a transaction comes from a merchant the app doesn't recognise, the app sends only the merchant name as it appears in the bank SMS (e.g. “DR CAFE KHOBAR”) to iLatif's server at ilatif.tech and receives a category such as coffee, fuel or restaurants. Not sent: amounts, message text, dates, card or account numbers, your name, phone number or any device identifier. Classification runs on an AI model hosted on iLatif's own hardware, not a third party. We keep only the merchant name and its category to speed up categorisation for everyone, not linked to any person, and we do not store IP addresses with these requests. You can turn it off at any time.

Sharing

We do not share, sell or use your data for advertising, credit scoring or lending.

Your control

Revoke SMS or notification access at any time in system settings, delete individual transactions or all data in Settings → Delete all data, or uninstall the app to remove everything.
